From the 19th Century the 20th and into the 21st Century. All three names died, Wind, Cowan and Olds which is amazing concidering the huge family. However the blood lines of the Wind and Olds still flow. Here is Susan Wind ( Her Mother was an Olds) and Bob Simpson with their children and grand children. All is not lost.
Bob and Susan Simpson, 2007. Without them these two albums would not exist. The CDPHS Website is very gratefull to these genealogists.
Two of Ole and Olga Wind's children, Alfred and Frances. Taken in 1917 before Vera was born in 1920. Sadly Alfred died only a few months later.
The Cowan Family long after George Cowan died. Back row. Frank Cowan, Harry (Toots) Cowan, Rienhold Weishaar, Mike Cowan. Front row. And Mother of the clan Christina Cowan and Emma Cowan. Sadly the Cowan name and blood line died even though there were four Cowan offspring. Two never married and the other two had no children. What a fitting finale to this family history. The following are the words as written by the Wind Cowan Olds Genealogist, Susan Wind Simpson. "This is my grandmother, Frances McNeil Olds (my mothers mother). She was a tiny lady with a big heart. She died in her sleep October 31, 1966. It was the first major loss in my young life. I still have her old treadle sewing machine on which she made her three daughters' baby clothes and my (and my sisters') special dresses, and my own wedding dress. I treasure it."
