This Chico, California, WW II picture shows Burton Stewart in the middle of the back row. No one else is identified except for the dog Lightning. Lightning lost a leg in a mishap with an airplane propeller. Burton brought him home after the war. Burton's son, Chuck, remembers as a kid that Lightning got around just fine on 3 legs.
