Eighth Grade Graduating Class of 1943 - 1944. L - R. Deloris Wessling, ?, George Hand, ?, Lorraine Milner, Carlyne Jarrett, ?, Teno Costa & Doris Gibson.
This is a very difficult class to identify as no one has stepped forward to identify one student. (Until December 11, 2009) The following is from an email received from Chuck Stewart: The little boy kneeling on the lower left corner is my uncle Weldon Lowell Kelso. He was born in 1913, right after the family moved to Bigfoot Valley in 1912. Since he appears to be 8-10 years old in the picture, it must be from 1921 - 23. In 2012, Eddie Kingrey added that Glenn King , is 2nd from left in front row
So many small students, so few identified.

Bottom row, sitting, in the middle, (5th from right or left) is my Uncle and Namesake, Eddie Roy King. As side note: This is in the middle of the King boys, Glenn and Eddie's (older brother, Walt Jr. was fighting professionally at this time) amateur boxing heyday. Eddie would die of pneumonia less than a year later, in 1932, at 17 years of age. 2nd row from front, kneeling, 3rd from left, is Eddie's older brother, Glenn King and to the right is Johnny Barnes (4th from the left). Front row sitting, 3rd from left is Gene Cox, who would later marry the king boy's younger sister, Evelyn King. (Information courtesy of Eddie Kingrey).
