FEW OLD TIMERS REMAIN AT CLAYTON & DEER PARK. HERE ARE A FEW.
This shows the grandeur of the Palouse during harvest in the 1880s.
Mae Huffman Fischbach is a very spry 98 year old Clayton native. Mae has lived in only two homes: her Clayton home where she was born and raised and her North Spokane home. She was born in 1912.
This is Henry Ford’s first automobile built in 1896. This was 3 years before the railroad line was built from Spokane to Marcus, WA. A few short years before centenarians Lawrence Zimmerer and Walter Klawunder were born. Both lived in the 1800s, 1900s, & 2000s.
Violet Nolan Zimmerer celebrated her 90th birthday the fall of 2010 with friends and relatives from distant states. Not exactly a world traveler. She lives alone less than a half mile from where she was born in 1920 with her loving Son and Daughter living a stones throw away. She is a very much loved lady.
